This manual is intended to aid you in the day-to-day operations of your store and to hopefully answer any and all questions you may have regarding your tenancy at St. Vital Centre. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Administration Office at any time and we will be pleased to assist you.

It is suggested all new employees familiarize themselves with the contents of this manual, and that it be kept in a convenient location (at the cash register or store bulletin board) for easy reference as required.

This manual is intended as a guideline, and in cases where there is a discrepancy between the manual and your lease, the provisions of the lease shall prevail.

St. Vital Centre Profile

St. Vital Centre was constructed in 1979 and completely renovated and expanded in 1998. The shopping centre is owned by the Ontario Pension Board and managed by 20 VIC Management Inc. St. Vital Centre is anchored by Sears, The Bay, Wal-Mart, London Drugs, SilverCity, Chapters and SportChek and has a Gross Leasable Area of 926,310 square feet (including the freestanding Safeway store, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Montana’s, McDonalds, Old Navy, and Earl’s).

The Administration Office is located in The Bay aisle beside Buffalo Jeans and is open Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. You may also reach any member of our administrative team by contacting Customer Service during centre hours at 257.5646.

The Administration Office is responsible for:

• Leasing – both temporary and permanent
• Collecting rental and promotion fund payments
• Orchestrating maintenance, security and marketing for St. Vital Centre
• Overseeing all aspects of the operation of St. Vital Centre

St. Vital Centre’s normal hours of business are as follows:

Monday to Friday 10:00 am – 9:00 pm

Saturday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm

Sunday 12:00 noon – 6:00 pm

Stores are required to be open for business during the above hours, and are not permitted to be open outside of these hours.

Access to the mall is available through the Food Hall doors starting at 7:30 am Monday to Saturday and 9:30 am Sunday and holidays. Also employee entrances located beside London Drugs and at Loading Dock #1, will be open two (2) hours prior to regular business hours. Those employees arriving by Winnipeg Transit may enter the shopping centre through the mall entrance next to SilverCity. Employee access to the shopping centre at other times can be arranged by contacting Security.

Holiday Closures

Provincial legislation does not permit most retail stores to open on the following holidays, therefore, St. Vital Centre will be closed on the following days:

• New Year’s Day
• Good Friday
• Easter Sunday
• Canada Day
• Labour Day
• Christmas Day

Retail stores are permitted to open on the following holidays:

• Louis Riel Day
• Victoria Day
• August Civic Holiday
• Thanksgiving Day
• Remembrance Day – (Stores can open after 1:00 pm)

Typically, St. Vital Centre will be open Sunday hours (12:00 noon – 6:00 pm) on the above days. We will advise you of the hours of business on the above days approximately one month in advance.
