When not pursuing photographic projects, Dr. Ling practices family medicine in Toronto and plays cello in Orchestra Toronto, a community orchestra. Wade Davis is Professor of Anthropology and the BC Leadership Chair in Cultures and Ecosystems at Risk at the University of British Columbia. Author of 17 books, including The Serpent and the Rainbow, One River, The Wayfinders and The Sacred Headwaters, Davis holds degrees in anthropology and biology and received his Ph. D. in ethnobotany, all from Harvard University. William L. Fox, Director of the Center for Art + Environment at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, Nevada, has variously been called an art critic, science writer, and cultural geographer. He has published fifteen books on cognition and landscape, numerous essays in art monographs, magazines and journals, and fifteen collections of poetry. Fox has researched and written books set in the Antarctic, the Arctic, and the deserts of Chile, Australia, and the United States. Edward Burtynsky (born in 1955 of Ukrainian heritage in Ontario)is known as one of Canada's most respected photographers.
